FAQ: PocketPlanter Databases
I have registered more than one PocketPlanter plant database on the handheld, but they are not all showing
as registered in the PocketPlanter for Windows version.

Try the following steps:

First, open the Windows file browser and locate your handheld’s PocketPlanter HotSync folder.

For a Palm-brand product this is probably...
C:\Palm\**\PocketPlanter   
...where ** is a variation of your device HotSync name.

If you have a Sony-brand device, your PocketPlanter HotSync folder may be located in...
C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\**\PocketPlanter   
...where ** is a variation of your device Hotsync name.

Once you’ve located your PocketPlanter HotSync folder, find and delete the files PpPref.bak and PpPref.cdb.

(If you have trouble finding these files, you can also locate them by clicking the Windows Start button and
selecting Search. Under “What do you want to search for?” select “All files and folders”. Under “All or part of the
file name” type PpPref.cdb then click the [Search] button to the lower right. After some time, Windows will locate
PpPref.cdb so you can delete it. The same folder that contains PpPref.cdb will also contain PpPref.bak.)

Next, start PocketPlanter on your handheld and make sure you can access all the plant databases that you
have registered.

Finally, perform a HotSync. This will move the new registration information to the desktop. After the HotSync, the
desktop version should recognize all databases that are registered on the handheld.
